2004 Map

Walking down the marmoreal main street of ancient Ephesus (one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League during the Classical Greek period) which was erected on top of one of the two Wonders of the Ancient World (out of Seven) to stand in Asia Minor, the Temple of Artemis (completed around 550 BCE and destroyed in 401 CE by a mob led by St. John Chrysostom).

Satisfying our ruinenlust at Ephesus which contains the largest collection of Roman ruins in the E Med and exploring the sprawling ruins of the theatre (estimated 44,000 seating capacity), the two agoras, the library, the odeon, the stadium, the gymnasium as well as even taking a closer look at the knocking shop.

Laundering for TL 6,000 m (US$ 4.30) per 4-kg load (washed and dried) at the marina laundry in Kusadasi.
